![]() ![]() When renovations to the adjacent Carter Playground added a football field, tennis courts, and an enclosed play space, there was no longer room in the park to program the event the way it had been conceived and presented for many years.īAMS Fest is a nonprofit organization that breaks down racial and social barriers to arts, music, and culture for marginalized communities of color in Greater Boston. The event became a tradition for residents across Greater Boston and beyond, drawing thousands to the intersection of Massachusetts and Columbus Avenues for a day of music, children’s activities, and food vendors. This free, family-friendly event in its second year takes place Saturday, June 22, noon to 8:00 p.m., at Playstead Field in Franklin Park, 1 Pierpont Road.īerklee produced the Beantown Jazz Festival beginning in 2007. Beginning this summer, Berklee will partner with the Boston Art & Music Soul (BAMS) Festival in Franklin Park. However, for the safety of our volunteers, please consider taking your glass home with you to recycle. Plastic, aluminum, and glass recycling are available onsite.Videotaping of the performances is prohibited.This allows all attendees an unobstructed view. Please no umbrellas or tents during the Duck Jazz Festival.Attendees are invited to bring food, coolers, chairs, blankets, and well-behaved dogs.The festival takes place rain or shine.Chairs are available for rent on-site from Just for the Beach.and food and soft drinks available for purchase from Duck eateries. Return to the park on Sunday, October 8, 2023, to enjoy a full day of music during this free, non-ticketed festival showcasing national, regional and local jazz musicians on two stages. The 2023 event will begin with a Concert on the Green style event, Saturday, Octofrom 4 – 6 p.m. The Duck Jazz Festival Presented by PNC takes place in the Town of Duck annually on Columbus Day weekend. The theme for this year’s Duck Jazz Festival is to celebrate the colorful livelihood of Jazz music and celebrate the fellowship it creates amongst people who enjoy live music.
